The Growing Experience

The Growing Experience is a 7-acre urban farm and community garden located at the Carmelitos Public Housing development in North Long Beach. Year round, The Growing Experience staff grows vegetables and fruits using sustainable methods – no chemical pesticides and no synthetic fertilizers. The food is then made available to the community at affordable prices through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
