LACDF partners with non-profit and governmental agencies as well as volunteers to implement after school programming. We have developed After School Fuel and STEM programs with the goals of prioritizing academic success.
The purpose of the After School Fuel Program is to serve the children at LACDA's Public Housing sites by providing healthy snacks and encouraging them to lead healthier lifestyles and improve their school grades which will ultimately motivate them to set and achieve their goals.
LACDA's youth participants also have the opportunity to enroll in our After School STEM program that focuses on education, small group tutoring, reading and literacy, arts education, nutrition education, and recreation. LACDF is dedicated to providing the children with healthy snacks during program operation.
